Vintage Fifth “Rex” Avenue Tapestry Compact. Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS First Class.
What a gorgeous vintage compact marked Fifth Rex Avenue that dates to the 40’s era. The compact has a beautiful petit point tapestry lid in mauve, tan and light green colors and the fabric is still in great condition. The outside edge of the compact is a decorative blue green metal with gold points. The back is a gold chevron design, and there is a push bar closure that is very secure. The inside of the compact has a mirror and powder well. The mirror is still bright and clear with no cracks. The powder well has the sifter and the puff with the Fifth Rex Avenue brand listed. It measures 3” by 3”. I listed the compact as Used due to its age but the compact was never used with any powder. There are a few signs of aging: the puff is a little faded and the back has some tarnish. But for its age, this compact is in remarkable condition. A really wonderful collectible to add to your collection or to use. A lovely gift for the lady who appreciates great vintage items.
