    This is a stunningly beautiful vintage ladies compact from the 1930's. Very Art Deco in styling. It has been monogrammed with initials JH on the front.  This piece is sterling silver and made by VOLUPTE. Includes the original screen and measures approx. 4".  Shows some light wear but not bad for it's age. Approximately 90 years old. 140 grams total weight.
    Volupté is a company which was founded in 1926 in Elizabeth, NJ. They are most well known for their extensive range of compacts. The company also produced jewelry, chatelaines, pill boxes, atomizers, purses, and cigarette cases. The company is perhaps most famous for their sterling products. The company’s jewelry line was only produced for only a very short period of time and is quite rare and hard to find. Most of the items were made in gold and silver.
